We offer comprehensive pain management programs.
An experienced team of health professionals is assembled for each case to work with the client to reach their specific treatment goals. Our experts come from a field of diverse disciplines including:
Our case managers work closely with our clients and their health care providers to help the injured achieve their long and short term treatment goals. A case manager will coordinate with treatment providers to ensure that our client's treatment is appropriate, effective and consistent.
Our chronic pain specialist works with our clients to develop strategies for handling their pain. These may include lifestyle changes, dietary restrictions, neuro-blocker injections and other strategies. Specialists in psychology, psychiatry, behavioral science, and other areas may also play an important role in a comprehensive pain management program.
Our orthopaedic surgeon assesses and treats our clients' conditions involving the musculoskeletal system including, but not limited to, bone fractures. Our orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma resulting from an accident.
Our neuropsychologists are concerned with how the brain and the rest of the nervous system influence our clients' cognitions and behaviors. They are focused on how injuries or illnesses of the brain, which are common following car accidents, affect cognitive functions and behaviors.
Our rheumatologists deal with musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect the joints, muscles and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity.
Our physiatrists, or rehabilitation physicians, are nerve, muscle, and bone experts who treat injuries that affect how you move. Rehabilitation physicians are medical doctors who have completed training in the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). They are overall experts in treating our clients' disabilities that prevent them from returning to their pre-accident levels of health.
These services are for our clients who suffer from jaw pain or who have disorders which affect their ability to chew, speak or eat. Our TMJ specialists work with our clients to explore surgical and non-surgical solutions to their pain and discomfort. In many cases, TMJ disorders can be managed without resorting to surgery.
Our occupational therapists work with our clients to reestablish their activities of daily living following an accident. They will help to modify a client's environment by eliminating barriers and recommending appropriate assistive devices or even
home modifications. They focus on modifying tasks and providing education for the client and their family to allow our clients to return to the activities that are important to them.
Our speech language pathologists are highly trained individuals who work with our clients to treat cognitive and physical disorders which affect their ability to communicate. Some of the things they focus on are speech delays, language comprehension, fluency disorders and social communication skills.
Naturopathy is a form of alternative medicine employing a wide array of natural modalities, including homeopathy, herbalism, and acupuncture, as well as diet nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Our naturopaths work with our clients to develop non-invasive treatment plans and avoid the use of surgery and drugs whenever possible.
Our chiropractors use specialized, hands-on healing techniques which assist the spine, central nervous system and body to heal naturally. Massage therapy treatment helps to improve physical functioning by treating the areas causing pain and relieving the effects of stress.
